One by cineplex, one by the Bay I believe.

RRxtar 05-20-2009 09:35 PM

Fafine 05-20-2009 10:17 PM

i remember my buddy was swinging one around in the living room. it's hardwood flooring and he was wearing socks, he pulled it behind his head like he's gonna slash it down and he slipped LOL

rather get those $200 kitchen knives than a katana from richmond night market

boss_clad 05-21-2009 12:23 AM

yeaaaa, no cheap night market bs

i've been wanting another one for so long. my last one broke..don't ask how lol

it does wonders for interior decoration (esp. on your wall over your bed)
and you get that invincible feeling when taking the sword out of its sheath,

fuck, the katana is the most beautiful weapon made by man.

we should all arm ourselves for 2012
for whatever's coming

Timpo 05-21-2009 12:27 AM

200 bucks for a katana? seriously??

Timpo 05-21-2009 12:31 AM

Here are some examples...Japanese swords are very expensive. Usually $8,000 to $20,000.
I've seen one for more than $100,000.
I don't know how you can get one for $200?

ok this one is decent looking and cheap-ish(?) katana
http://www.seiyudo.com/katama_and_tachi.htm
880,000yen($10,567 at today's rate)
this is the price in japan, after shipping and import duties...it will probably more expensive

If it's for decoration, just go with the night market crap. I got a few around the house and even took one camping as a fire poker. The gf has katanas that're family heirlooms, they've been used to kill :D
