HONDA FIT

over 5 people? or 5 and more?

If it's over 5, you're pretty limited to cars like mazda5, some euro wagon's with 7 seat jumper seats and minivans/suv's.

If it's 5 and more, then lots of sedans/hatchback's to choose from.

Timpo 05-21-2009 12:01 PM

oops I thought you meant 5 or more

Caravan?

that wouldn't be within the criteria due to bad gas mileage.

Keep in mind the Energuide and EPA fuel efficiency ratings are normally a bit off from your real-world conditions (at least that's what I've experienced). So take those nice catalog/brochure numbers with a grain of salt...

Timpo 05-21-2009 01:04 PM

btw, Kenstyle Mazda 5 looks pretty nice :)

yea I heard that all cars would get approx 80% of what EPA says.
depending on the condition obviously

Toyota Highlander Hybrid, though it is a bit expensive. It comes with a 3rd row option now...

'04 and up? Cheap?

'07 Mazda3 5 door

Timpo 05-21-2009 08:13 PM

Honda Insight!!

I don't exactly know how much, but I heard the price should be low for a hybrid.

slammer111 05-21-2009 08:29 PM

Montanas aren't bad, but their head gaskets blow. (like all GM)

6 people is hard, you're looking at vans. 5 people would be easy.

Do NOT get a Caravan. Don't even get me started on those. Drove 3 generations of them, they all suck, especially for mileage.

JesseBlue 05-21-2009 09:05 PM

how about this?

14 or more seater plus people will pay you...!

Presto 05-21-2009 09:15 PM

Bring back front row bench seats!

ilvtofu 05-21-2009 09:59 PM

Mazda 5 is nice but its getting old and u can tell.
Kia soul gets decent mileage and is pretty funky looking, but not really my cup of tea

underscore 05-21-2009 10:09 PM

over 5 you're into vans

just 5 you've got the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Toyota Echo/Yaris/Matrix/Prius maybe?

^ van, suv, crossover, for the most part basically the same thing nowadays. your title said cars so I think a few of us got thrown off a bit.

in this case +1 for the Highlander.
