Sucks man is it a 2G phone?? I have the same problem but instead of water i slammed the van trunk on it like 3 times and now my top screen doesnt work. I can only call the people on my contact list or ppl who have called me and caller id has detected... Anyways if it is a 2G phone then it will be $200 and it replacese the whole screen from JP cellular (RS sponsor).... If its a 3G then I think its only $100 not to sure...

how do you mess up a phone while cleaning it? dunking it in the washing machine is a no-no.

moist cloth is the key.

turn off the phone

put your phone in a wam spot (NOT HOT LIKE A HEATER) and inside a ziplock bag with rice in it. or you could try a bag of dessicant, you know those baggies of beads that come inside shoe boxes or electronics. they absorb moisture.

Wont make a difference because its the touch screen that isnt working... You cant solve that issue, unless u get a new display.. Ive gone over this on my phone many times.... When you lose half the screen its pretty much dead.. Look at all the google posts on Iphones and half screens.. Very common problem for people who dont take good care of their phones... Ive used my iphone broken for about a month and I can tell its slowly going towards my bottom screen now since when i try to send texts all the letters on the very right of my screen top and bottom dont work...
