7 year old girl says "Black people should die" WINNIPEG -- A seven-year-old girl who showed up at her elementary school with hate symbols on her arms and legs defended the display with a series of racist comments towards black people and other visible minorities, a social worker testified yesterday during the opening day of a child-protection trial. The girl - now in the custody, along with her younger brother, of Child and Family services - claims her mother and stepfather taught such beliefs. CFS is trying to get a permanent order of guardianship for the children, claiming they are at risk of physical and emotional harm from their parents. The children's stepfather is fighting for custody and has filed a constitutional challenge, claiming his rights to freedom of expression and religion have been violated. The children's mother is not attending the trial. "Black people don't belong," the girl stated matter-of-factly in a March 2008 interview with the CFS worker. "What people don't understand is that black people should die." The girl said her mother had used a marker to draw a large swastika on her arm and slogans on her legs, including references of Adolf Hitler and the words "we must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." "The meaning of that is that black people don't belong," the girl explained. Her social worker testified the girl repeatedly used the N-word to describe blacks and said she believes strongly in what her parents taught her. The girl also described how to kill a black person the social worker said. "This is a white man's world," she said. WTF .. she's SEVEN!!!!! |

reverse racism doesn't get reported as racism does. |
This is pretty unusual. The kid doesn't actually believe that black people should die, it's just what's been driven into her head by her parents. If you were to keep asking her WHY they should die, she would just keep using the same baseless responses, and soon realize she has no reason, other than brainwashing. It's a sad story, but the girl will be fine, once she is removed from her parents and been through psychotherapy. |
And by the way, the father's "constitutional challenge" stands no chance in Canada. There is a reason why there are no neo-nazi parades in Canada, as opposed to our neighbours to the south. You have the right to freedom of expression, so long as it doesn't promote racism or other hate crimes. In the jolly ol' USA, you can do WHATEVER you want! Cuz you're "free"! You could hold a KKK really tomorrow if you wanted. No one will like it, but you can still do it. That's the difference with our countries; their "freedom" that they love so much, actually works against them in this case, as it essentially promotes the right to express racism. |

Do not use freedom in quotes, asshole. You can't have freedom WITHOUT the right to offend. Certain religions can say jews are related to pigs and apes, and that gays should be thrown off cliffs, and that's fine. So why is it wrong when a parent brainwashes a child with other information people may not agree with? |

Who wants to bet she grows up and winds u doing black on white porn. |
She's gonna have a helluva time bagging a job when she grows up. |
The prosecution knows they cannot win the case on what the parents are teaching the child, so they are going after the parents conduct (drinking, drugs, ...). Although it might not be right, we do allow the teachings of the bible (against homosexuality) and Islam (against western world) in Canada, so unfortunately the parents are allowed to teach their child this. Read the hate crime laws in Canada, they only apply if you offend someone... so teaching a child at home, away from society, in itself is not a hate crime. |
This is a pretty disgusting event. I'm still amazed at how much hatred there is floating around modern, industrialized nations who aren't at war with anyone. Read: CANADA. I can see how it would be tough to stamp it out in countried who have been ravaged by conflict in recent, and ongoing history, but there's no excuse for it here. [/QUOTE] http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Pro...700/story.html While some may say Calgary is the northern most major American city, it's still technically a part of Canada. Lo and behold, they have white pride marches. That's just one example of many. |

Like I said before, its not right, its reality. |
its people like this girl's parents that are keep this country backward. time to get out of their gehtto town and see the world. |
wow thats messed...her parents must have alot of hate beacuse they got no jobs and are on EI, typical people who blame their failures on race. |
It is sad to see that there are still people in Canada who think this way. We are of a multicultural nation and a big chunk of our population is made up by immigrants compared to a lot of other countries around the world. That parents of this child should just move to the states if they can't handle the multiculturalism. |

Jason's right; Freedom of speech = freedom to offend. Why is it that "shock-jocks" keep getting fined in the US? Are there not dozens if not hundreds of shows/programs/etc to listen to? Did you know that the FCC was created because in the beginning there were only a limited number of channels and that because of that "lack of chocie" they decided to censor things? And that newspapers (then and now) were free to print whatever the fuck they wanted because PEOPLE HAD CHOICE. Freedom of speech is not the same as "freedom to say what you want unless someone doesn't like it". |
WTF |
Demon child! *hiss* Yeah, people are messed up more than ever. |

Broadcast radio in the USA is mandated by the FCC (a government organization) not required to enforce freedom of speech. They have the power to control the content they administrate over. Quote:
Walt Disney was an anti-semite. Explain that. |
