I would also like to add that I do not agree with a 27 year old dating a 16 year old, if anything bad really happens in the relationship the 27 year old being more experienced could easily brush it off and get over it, whereas a maturing 16 year old may be traumatized.

Who knows though, maybe she lied about her age or never told him her age or even he may have never asked her age. I work with a couple of 16 year old girls, a couple of 18 year old girls and a bunch of 19+ girls. One of the 16 year old girls looks and acts older than 75% of the 19+ girls. I'm not saying it makes it right or it is right, all I'm saying is that I can see where there can be confusion. In this particular case with these girls at work, sure this 16 year old acts more mature and looks more mature at work. I'm sure when she's at home with her guard down, she probably acts like a 16 year old. So basically what I'm getting at, is he just dating her casually like fucking her once a week? Or is he in a relationship with her and calling her his girlfriend? Fuck buddies isn't so bad, when I was 15-17, most of my friends were having sex, it's part of growing up.

the girl is 16, i think it is an actual relationship cause he refers to her as a girlfriend and they've been constantly hanging out, hopefully he's not serious about the relationship and is probably just a fuck and chuck

When I was in grade 12 I knew a girl (17 at the time) who was dating a 26 year old guy and it didn't seem weird at all. The guy didn't look old and he had the brains of a 16 year old so we all hung out like normal lol. :D

Yes, the legal age is 14, or I think within 5 years age difference, whatever it works down to (so I guess if you want to do a 13 year old, you have to be 18 or younger)

My $.02, I think that is creepy at that age difference. For someone to date a 16 year old, I would say no older than 21, and they would have to be a mature 16 year old to consider it at 21. As others have said, at a young age the difference in age is more apparent. But when you're older, those age gaps seem less apparent. At my age I don't date anyone under the 4 year age difference mark..usually not out of principle, but those are the girls I meet on campus, in town etc, and I can relate with them.
