UPDATE EVERYONE!!! got a call today from a woman from translink who told me the driver's problem has been "taken care of" she said that I could ask for details if I wanted, but I was in class so I didn't bother, hopefully she's on probabation and had her license suspended for a couple of days, which would've costed her a good couple $100s hehehe |

I'll get retribution that way and the satisfaction of knowing. /sarcasm I could be completely wrong but it seems like you're avoiding the situation. Either that or it never happened and you're just whoring for attention. Seems rather suspicious that you were all rowelled up and even made an official complaint but when the knock comes to your door with the verdict, you could careless and didn't bother following up. |
I was in class when she called me so I couldn't talk if u want feel free to call translink and say ur me and ask them for me, just say you are Justin and ask for that pascal woman if you don't believe me. I'm just not bothering to call, but go ahead and maybe record the conversation, i want to hear it too lol, but yeah my phone doesn't have that feature, if it did i would've called earlier and posted it on here. |
Well that was anti-climatic |
this one time, an old man who could barely get up and hang onto the poles was about to get off but the driver was one of those who stop suddenly and accelerates quickly. so when this old man was about to get off hanging onto the rope thing, the bus driver did a quick stop like he always does and the old man totally spun around and fell. some bus drivers pretend they're drag racing. |
hehe... spun around and fell, for some reason i'm just imagining some disco dance spinning, gosh it's stuck in my head!!! |
i got kicked off a bus for speaking in the bus.. like just very normal voice level we are making, same as every other passenger at the back of the bus. the bus driver refuse to start the bus again until we get off the bus, and everybody on the bus sorta disagree, but me and my 2 female friends decide to get off ourself to not disturb other passengers. and we reported the incident to trankslink.. because he left us on a big hill in north van, 5 mins walk uphill to next station, or 10 mins walk downhill to the other. Rosa Parks stole my seat |
once the driver pulls away from the stop, they technically are not supposed to let you off anymore since it's a liability issue. those that do, do it for the sake of the passenger but are putting themselves at risk should the passenger some how get injured getting off on the curb and decide to sue. |
but when it court and up to a jury to decide, the jury could side with the driver and say that he/she was just being kind, even though he did screw up and miss the stop or something |
the point i was trying to make was that, bus drivers have no legal obligation to let anyone off the bus once it has pulled away from the stop. all be it it's the driver's fault for missing the stop but they still don't have to let you off. it's not necessarily because the driver is a jerk and hence they don't let you off, but because there are other liability issues at work. i just don't think most people understand that part of the equation. |
