Do you use the word "gay" too much?
 

K here's the thing.. i swear like a trucker.. and i tend to use the word "gay" pretty often.. and this chick that i am seeing right now says i am saying it waaay too much.. she's trying to make me pay a dollar for each time i say that fucking word....

I use the word gay on and off, but when I do, I usually correct myself and use stupid or dumb instead.

i use gay but its spelled ghey and means stupid.

such as "This post is so ghey!"

ive been really careful when using terms 'gay' or 'retarded' to refer stupid shit i see

Yeah, I use the terms "gay" and "retarded" very carefully as well. When used as a synonym for "stupid", it could offend those who are homosexual and mentally disabled.

It's been phased out of my vocabulary... at least in its use as a synonym to "stupid".

sounds like all of you are trying to be too PC for no reason, as seen in a lot of things in the world people become overly PC to the point they look like assholes

Using the word "gay/ghey" is sooo 90s.. and yeah PC does matter imo if you're not using it in a joke, but using it to describe something that isn't actually gay (like a person). That's like saying something crappy is Asian or black or white. I'd bet half of you would piss on someone who did that.

i use it not as much as in highschool now...but "retarded" is still a big problem for me.

Then again, I work around a bunch of +50ish, roughneck, white guys that throw the C-word out every 2 seconds.

I use to say gay a lot but I make an effort not to say it anymore because I have some friends that are actually gay in real life.

Exact same thing here, one of my friends recently came out and whenever I'm in a conversation with him I find that I stop midway through a sentence to struggle for a better word than gay.
