I agree that it's not the fact that I am in a hurry or not.....but Red Car being completely obilivious and inconciderate....
I nomally inch up to the car slowly until I am almost touching it....if it STILL hasn't notice that I am trying to get into the left turn lane....I'll honk....or high beam if it's night time....

So I was turning out but because of the red light, cars started piling up. This car blocks my path, when he has about 8 feet to move up. So I couldn't get out. Stupid drivers.

i just rev my engine a bit, it worked on the bike and so does the car. some truck almost ran into me when he was reversing, tried honking but it didn't work and when i finally reved it the car stopped immediately.

Seriously, what is up with all these assholes who can't wait 30 secs and need to go there ASAP. If you're late, you're late. You should've left the house 5 mins earlier to accommodate travel time. | I think the person who's wrongfully blocking a lane is in the wrong - not the person who is trying to make a left turn.
And FYI generally if there is a left turn lane there is probably a left turn light, and if you missed it, you're waiting 2 minutes not 30 seconds.
Nothing wrong with being honked at once in a while. It reminds you to PAY FUCKING ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!

i had something similiar happened to me. the red car was on the right lane, but decides to switch to the left, that did not got him any closer to the lights because there was already the same number of cars on both lanes, which blocked the left turn lane for me.
this was on willingdon and lougheed, the worst possible traffic light control in the whole city.
but yea, in your situation, i'd honk. honking doesn't mean "GET THE FUCK OUT", it could mean, "hey can you move forward?" or "move please?"
