Another Chinese New Year film called I Love Hong Kong. Nothing special but the trippy thing is everyone in it is a star. When I say star I mean everyone in the movie from the main characters to the random "ke le fe" is somebody you will recognize given you've watched chinese movies/shows since you were a kid till now. |
^^^ that was on tv a couple weeks ago great film imo |

http://www.youtube.com/user/ooxxTW#p/u/146/kZlQ4rAOFBM black and white taiwanese cop drama, acting is 10x better than tvb Kinda like tvb's EU but way more intense "Pi Zi and Ying Xiong are two cops who are as different as day and night. One does nothing except for drinking coffee and living a luxurious lifestyle while waiting for information from dubious sources to crack his cases. Another believes law and justice are the pillars of society and is constantly on the street catching criminals a little overzealously for his superiors liking. When a case brought these two top crime solvers together, sparks flied and a little light peeked into this dark city where the nation's President is on friendly terms with the local triad and twins kill people while drinking milkshake." http://img2.lln.crunchyroll.com/i/sp...29478_full.jpg |
Go watch The Legend is Born - Ip Man, Ip Man's actual son, Ip Chun has a cameo in it. Also if you have seen the TVB series, E.U. then watch Turning Point (Laughing Gor之變節). |
grab a box of tissue. |
These are all great movies and really a must watch for 2010 / 2011 The first one is not action and more of a drama/acting type films. The other ones are action based. Shaolin is the only one that I think is in Mandarin (but there might be Cantonese version). Merry Go Round 東風破 Check out the youtube video so you get the jist of what it's about. Music, story and acting is pretty decent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYrIt...embedded#at=66 Shaolin 2011 新少林寺 Andy Lau, Jacky Chan, Nicholas Tse. Great acting, great action, shaolin monks... (oh, I think the movie was in Mandarin) The Stool Pigeon 線人 Nicholas Tse and Nick Cheung Great police thriller, voted best actor again for Nick Cheung for 2010. Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame 狄仁傑之通天帝國 Andy Lau Great Chinese Sherlock Holmes. Well worth the rental |
Election: Election 2 Teaser: Actual trailer: Vengeance: I'm a fan of Johnnie To movies. |
