Work Benefits Does anyone have any cool benefits through their work? Like for instance, I get free stand-by flights through Air Canada, my employer. My cousin works in an office environment and every year if the company meets their quota, every one in the office gets a free one week paid vacation - he went to South Carolina this year. My brother works for UPS, so he can ship any package, any size, anywhere in the world at anytime. Does anyone have any cool out of the ordinary work benefits? Medical and dental don't count. |
i dont really have a career yet im still thinking about what i wont to go to school for so in the mean time i just work at a grocery store but i get some cool perks Free flowers, Free food 2 days before expiry, profit sharing, free deli and produce goods nothing crazy, i save tons on food basically |

I don't get anything like that but I do get a New F150 every three years that I use for work and also doubles as my personal vehicle when not at work. It's not some basic bare bones model either, 4x4 with every option available. They pay for my insurance and all my gas which is good because my montly fuel bill is almost equal to my mortgage payment on my house, no joke. |

You don't get any benefits do you??? |
I used to have awesome company parties, staff poker tournaments, plus the opportunity to travel. My company sent me to Dublin last year for two months to set up a branch office. They moved the entire organization to Montreal and despite them throwing cash at me to come with them I declined. |
My company pays 6% of my gross income into my RRSP....(not match, they straight up pay, no matter what I do) :D 5% of my total gross annual income (including overtime) given back to me as a bonus every year $1000 in massages covered per calendar year... not the happy ending kind though LOL |
paid cell phone and laptop.... and sometimes I borrow some company power tools for the weekend. |
Electronic stuff, GPS, Car Audio, Computer parts, printers, cartridge etc...... |
The usual for a construction related industry: cellphone, laptop, car insurance, gas, and maintenance. |
my company gives me me 5% above cost on anything we sell. thats anything that has to do with propane parts/appliances impco and home furnaces and heat pumps |
i get free dental, medical, and free food :) i'm a line cook for worksafe BC haha |
i get free blowjobs from my employers |
i get a free transit pass, including west coast express and the seabus. if im not mistaken also includes a free massage/acupuncture kinda deal every month. |
The only thing I get is, invading your privacy of your account with us, and the ability to have an $8 phone plan (tax in) with everything included. oh and they match up to 40% of my contribution to the company share holder plan thing, up to 6% a paycheque. |
Nothing really lol unless you count 4 weeks of sick days + 3 weeks of vacation/year and pension. At my old job we got unlimited free pop. |
At my previous employer, we had lots of free snacks and drinks... and my cellphone plan was paid for. That's mainly it... |
free colocation hosting |
molson workers just lost a lot of their benifits ! Molson retirees losing their free beer to cry in KIM GOODYEAR FOR THE TORONTO STAR Pensioners protest as their allotment of 864 brews a year will be cut to nothing Jun 09, 2009 04:30 AM ANDREW CHUNG STAFF REPORTER If you sang that well-worn campfire song about the beer bottles on the wall, you'd have to start at 864. That's the annual complimentary beer allotment for retirees from the Molson brewery in St. John's, Nfld., the same amount of free suds they received while still working. But, without consulting them, Molson has decided to shut the tap. Come Jan. 1, the allotment will be a dozen bottles a month, down from six dozen a month (or 72 dozen a year), and in five years, it will be zero. For current workers, who also get 72 dozen bottles a year, the allotment will drop to 52 dozen. No five-year cut-off is planned. Retirees held a protest outside the brewery last Friday. They've demanded a meeting with top company officials and will get one within the next two weeks. In Vancouver and Montreal, where the allotment is less than in St. John's, the unions have launched grievances. Vancouver's case goes to arbitration June 16. "There was no consultation, we just received a letter that this is a done deal, which is totally unfair," said Bill Bavis, who retired six years ago after 32 years at Molson's in St. John's. "I think with the economic downturn they're trying to take advantage of us, as a way to cut retirees' benefits and justify it." Molson says it is "standardizing" its complimentary beer policy, which was originally intended not only as a perk but also to allow workers to share their beer, thereby helping to market it. "This was a decision made by management after reviewing a number of cost-cutting measures," said Molson vice-president Ferg Devins. "We strongly feel the benefits package for our employees and retirees is still very generous." The measure, announced in a letter in early April, came just before parent company Molson Coors announced its net profit more than doubled in the first quarter compared to last year, to $75.7 million, and increased its dividend. There are 2,400 Molson retirees in Canada. Their free beer costs the company about $1 million a year. Critics say all they've done is alienate their workers. "This does nothing for production inside" the plants, said Greg Pretty, a director for the Fish, Food and Allied Workers union, which represents the St. John's employees. For the average retiree, it means the loss of the equivalent of about $1,300, he said. |
I work in a hospital lab. If I want lab tests done on myself, I don't have to see a doctor, I just do it myself or get my co-workers to do it. I've heard of hospital employees skipping the wait lists for MRI's and other medical procedures, but I've never tried it myself. |
err.. free study space as long as i pay my tuition fees |
