That was rad though, especially when he talked to the camera the first time, with his expressions and delivery. I was like "oh snap! that's just like in Saved By The Bell!"

It's funny how everyone says how much Fallon sucks, yet this whole Zack Morris skit was 100% his idea and writing.. And everyone loved that! Odd

A broken clock is right twice a day. Just because Jimmy Fallon wrote something that looked good on paper (mediocre by execution) doesn't make a good host.

I could care less if he's the best writer on the planet, that's not what people are disliking.

That being said, the only parts of the show I ever see are the clips like this that people share on social sites. It's always the same:

-Hilarious clip gets posted on Youtube or Facebook
-Everyone complains about how much they hate Jimmy Fallon
-Another funny clip gets posted
-More people complain about the host

That's my perspective anyway, from someone who doesn't watch the show but sees a lot of funny clips.

i admit jimmy fallon isn't the greatest host, but he just started. give him some time and he'll get way better.

The guy cannot perform as well as other comedians out there live - especially hosting shows. I remember him hosting the MTV movie awards back in the day and wow, he just failed at hosting. Compare him to Jamie Foxx or Chris Rock - Jimmy is not witty enough to carry a show.

Is he a writer - sure, wasn't he a writer at SNL ?

and i doubt he wrote the skit either.... every host from Letterman to Kimmel have a room full of writers writing their shit; although they have input their expertise is in executing the material and Fallon just doesn't have it

totally agree. give him two seasons to let him iron out the show, and then decide if he is good or not. I can't remember, but apparently late nite w/ Conan O'Brien wasn't so great in its first few years either.

^i saw some early episodes i thought they were pretty good. shitty guests but conan has always been funny imo
