| Ergonomic Office Chairs
I am looking for ergonomic office chairs, but I don't know where to look for them locally other than Staples. On the other hand, I don't know if I can trust Staples branded products (ie. I've bought Staples pens and hole puncher, and they don't work very well) I looking to spend around $200 for one (I don't know if this is considered low or high end)
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, as I don't know where else I could post it, and I figure I would get more feedback here.
Thanks.

All i can say is that, don't cheap out.
Often the nice chairs (i sit like 8 hours a day in my chair) are super expensive. But I don't get sore backs or anything from sitting in it.
FYI the chair im sitting in right now costs like $1500, and it's sort of a hammock like stretchy net thing on the back and the ass, instead of a solid cushion. Im sure someone knows what i'm talking about.

You won't be able to find a HM chair in the $200 budget the OP mentioned - not even a used one unless the place is trying to clear them out for pennies on the dollar.
Try CL if you want something nice and don't mind a used chair.
Otherwise, for $200, you'll probably have to resort to the big box stores (Staples, Office Depot, Grand and Toy) for chairs.

The Aeron chair is the best office chair ever made. I sat in one in the past year at work and I've never felt sore or tired after a full shift sitting on my ass.

The Office Resource also sells ergonomic office items and same with Heritage, however, I'm not sure if they actually sell single items to individuals customers. www.heritageoffice.com www.theofficeresource.com

IRRC every herman miller chair is custom made so you have to order it (you can do this online). But its going to cost you 1500+. For 200 just get one from IKea (I have a one and its comfortable enough for the price).

i put a pillow on top of my seat so when I sit on it, it would support my spine.

$200 will not buy you a good chair.
Spend $400 and get one with a back that is adjustable up/down. This is one of my biggest pet peeves with office chairs, they are not designed for tall people and the back/lumbar support is too low.

200 might get you a good chair. not a high end chair for sure, but it might get one that works for your back. just because its more expensive doesnt always mean that it wont feel comfortable when you sit on it.
if you're on a budget, look on craigslist for office supply sales, usually from office closeouts. they sell chairs for really cheap.
the aeron costs about $1000 cdn, so its probably way out of your range. even a used one is around 5-600.
i would NOT buy a recaro chair... those are not well designed for office use

An office chair should be treated like buying a bed. You'll spend 7-8hrs/day in it, so its worth it to spend more for a comfortable life.
Most people here will spend more than $200/mn on eating out, something that gives you a couple hours of comfort, compared to a 7-8 hrs a day sitting!
I used to have a crappy bed cause I was cheap. When I finally broke down and bought a quality custom made mattress I realized how stupid being cheap on certain things is.
Chairs and bed, don't cheap out.

Thanks for the replies. Is there a price range that's consider cheaping out? I don't want to/can't spend a fortune on a chair, but if it's necessary I would spend the money.
$1000 is really too expensive for me. Considering I'm getting one for myself, sister, and brother, that's $3000 right there. The chair is for home use.
I say the maximum I'm willing to spend is $400-$500 for each chair?
How's source.ca? I like the fact that they specialized in selling office items.
