I'm in the market for an HD digital camcorder.
My requirements are:
- needs to take minimum HD (1280 x 720) at 60 fps
- needs to have AV-in
- manual focus (MF) prefered
I'll be using this for mainly in-car videos and sports (snowboarding, paintballing, etc.) That's why I want to have 60 fps and an AV-in (for remote camera that I can attach to helmet/mask).
So far I've found it to be pretty difficult to even find the specs for some of the recorders. Sanyo is like the only one that consistently spots fps information.
So far I've found 2 that sort of fits my requirements:
Sanyo VPC-FH1

AIPTEK HDV21X
http://www.aiptek.com/Merchant2/merc...&Store_Code=AS
I'm leaning towards AIPTEK right now, even though they may be refurbished, because of the obvious price gap, and because of the AV-in feature, but the downside is that it doesn't have MF. I'm worried that it may "hunt" when I'm using it for in-car videos.
I'm willing to live with the fact that it records at a lower resolution with the AV-in, as long as it records at minimum HD normally.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
