Exclamation PS3 Help

Ok I havn't use my ps3 for a couple weeks to I go to pop in a movie and the sony entertaintment comes up goes away and there's just that moving line across the centre of the screen. I tried putting in different movies nothing.

When I turn it off useing the button you hold it just beeps and doesn't turn off(I have to turn it off from the back)

I don't know what to do, I am pretty pissed off right now I don't even use it much

that connected the controller and I hit the ps button and it asked to turn it off and I did. It sounded like it did but the green button on the front is flashing green and it sounds like it's starting up again but the screen is blank

try holding the power button for 10 seconds and hear two beeps instead of one. it works for resetting the screen, not sure if it will help you....

sounds like youre gonna have to turn off the power (do it at your own risk). thenflip the switch back on. Call sony's toll free # first though.

so if you don't have a DVD/Bluray in there, does it turn on by pressing the power button?

There were some updates in the last week. I went to turn on my PS3 for the first time last night, and the update crashed 2 times before it finally completed successfully. I thought my PS3 was gonna brick.
