Vancouver Bike Share Program Quote:
So Vancouver is planning on putting together a "bike share" program that worked out in Montreal. Its proven to work in Montreal, will it work here? Anyone raging atm? |
People going to rent them, and take the parts, then return the bikes. |
Found the link to the pay system. Might be different for Vancouver. When you rent the bike, it will take a $250 deposit of your credit card for obvious reasons. Not bad i say. I like it. http://www.bixi.com/subscription-and-fees/online |
If I want to rent a bike one sunny Sunday afternoon for 2 hours, it would cost me $5 for the one day subscription (this number is flexible depending on subscription package) +$10.50 for the time renting =$15.50. How much do those other bike rental shop costs? |
http://www.superoldies.net/justandy/...tolen-bike.jpg I see that happening. Crackheads will get stolen credit cards and steal them. The kiosks will be vandalized. This will work out about as well as Victoria's 'Blue Bike' program |

This system might work better by Stanley park, far away from Main/Hastings. |
hmm pricing seems a bit expensive, Might as well buy yourself a regular bike for like $100 |
