Quick Question about car accident

so yesterday, someone I know backed into my car and scraped the back of my car pretty bad. He is willing to pay for it but doesn't want to go to icbc.

I'm cool it with, I just want to know, if I get the body and paint done at acura or any bodyshop or paint store do they keep a record on it for my car, does it go on the history of my car ?

What's the best way of handling this situation ?, just get it fixed at acura or another body/paint shop ?

if anyone knows please let me know

thanks

if u take it to acura, they will put it in their records. so if anyone is looking to buy your cari in the future and goes to the dealer for records, they will see it. that's what happened with my mom's car... previous owner had the service dept. arrange for repairs resulting from a parking lot scrape, and they put it into the service records.

but if you go to a bodyshop on your own, the only people who would have records would be you and the bodyshop.
