I learned greek and english first.

Parents spoke both to me and ensured I went to greek school when I was young.

My next language I'm going to learn is either vietnamese or mandarin.

Depends on where I'm going to do school for the next 10 years. Might even be swedish/korean.

Filipina Mother of Spanish and American Background
Chinese-Filipino Father

Filipino - default language I guess

English - Mom white washed me to the max as an infant.

Spanish (Conversational) - 3 years From HS and University. I can fit in ok in Mexico last time I checked. LOL

Fookien (I can understand, I have a hard time replying) - It disappoints my paternal grandmother a bit since I cannot speak fookien or Mandarin well

Mandarin - at the elementary level of reading and writing. Ex gf and I visited her Mandarin Teacher in her old high school. I spoke to the teacher in Mandarin. The teacher quickly responded "You're from the Philippines aren't ya?"

Mandarin - First language
Spanish - Growing up in Argentina, fluent with totally native accent.
English - living in Can, had some hard time adjusting my Spanish accent to English one, but when you spend most of time with CBC, you improvise.
Taiwanese - Mom/Dad's primary language
Japanese - Learn my way through drama/comic/JRPG/University. Not very fluent at speaking, but have almost no problem reading Japanese mags and comic books or watching drama/movie.
