That wouldn't even come close to being a factor to whether or not I would date a girl, that decision isn't based on last names.
She could be the girl of my dreams with the last name Rumpelstiltskin for all I care

They say that in Chinese practices that dating or marrying someone the same last name as you is like marrying your sibling. But that's what they say.

The difference between my last name and my gf's (Chan) is an extra 3 letter. Last names dont matter much in the greater scheme of things, unless your family objects and you're a mama's boy, then you're SOL.
