^well since everybody's making fun of how the STi has gone all soft, it reinforces that the car is still mean. But I see your point, STi buyers will buy the STi regardless, Obviously know what they're buying and the competition. Not like subcompact, or minivan buyers

The new subaru's an interesting car.
Anyone that will get the STI already knows what they are getting beforehand.
Based on solely looks, the STI isn't gonna win many people over that knows nothing
about Subaru.
