Meh, I'd rather spend an extra $5-$10 and get something that's fast and well-made.
I picked up my Sandisk Cruzer Contour 8 GB about a year ago from Costco for $35. 30 MB/s reads, 20 MB/s writes (better than advertised), aluminum body, sweet design, came with a leather keychain holder.
I had a 1 GB Kingston Data Traveller a few years ago. The plastic split down the sides, exposing the circuit board, plus read and write speeds were terrible (3 MB/s reads, 1 MB/s writes).
