i start timing it from the bottom near the parking lots. and my time was 65 minutes.
I think if you're a bigger guy - like arnold swarzhenagger (sic) then you'll probably do it in a slower time. So doing it fast doesn't really mean that your any more "fitter".
Cause one can argue that arnold and other bigger athletes are fit, just not the endurance marathon type.
I personally don't want to do it faster because I don't want my legs to get smaller from the cardio. |
being like arnold means you have lots of fast twitch fibers meaning you can explode at very fast speeds. you can treat the grind as intervals and still get a very good time. also, as a balanced athlete, im sure he does cardio as well (you cant just do muscular strength training only-its not the only component of health)
you legs dont get SMALLER from doing cardio
if anything they get BIGGER/MAINTAIN from the slight resistance you putting your legs through... but if you training your legs to a progressive degree, they are gonna get improvements anyways (you should be concentrating on muscular training if this is your goal anyways)
youd have to do ALOT, i mean ALOT of cardio along with diet to go through that much to go into a catabolic effect to get "smaller" legs
