Yeah, i'm wondering how these are weighted... If a tiny/flimsy cup holder is valued as much as an A/C that doesn't blow cold...

skyxx 06-24-2009 03:27 PM

I'm actually pretty pissed that my Glove-box handle broke lol!....

WTFFFF???

Brakes Are Noisy
HVAC CONTROLS-DTU/DTS/Read/Poor Location
Glove Box-Difficult To Use
Other Interior
Excessive Fuel Consumption
Front Audio/Ent System-Controls DTU/Poor Location
Memory Seat-Controls DTU/Use
Center Console-Difficult To Use
Seat Belt Latch/Release-Controls DTU/Use
Foot Pedals Too Close Together
Front Doors-Hard To Open/Close
Fuel Cap-Hard To Open/Close

These have nothing to do w/ the build quality of the car. WTFFFFFFFFFFF

Lomac 06-24-2009 03:49 PM

It's all about customer satisfaction, not just build quality.

ilvtofu 06-24-2009 04:54 PM

acura is below average because a lot of their new cars have a case of UGLY (not saying all)

mrclean604 06-24-2009 09:12 PM

lol why is hyundai near the top

ilvtofu 06-24-2009 09:25 PM

^well none of the current hyundais are hideous, well IMO at least. veracruz just a bit...

Excessive fuel consumption means that it consumes significantly more fuel than is expected for the mpg rating of the vehicle

ilvtofu 06-24-2009 09:36 PM

Excessive fuel consumption is actually pretty important, I mean within 10-20% of the rating is acceptable, but I notice that, especially in larger SUVs, the rating is pretty tough to get close to in vancouver.

Ikkaku 06-24-2009 11:09 PM

^ the ratings are based on normal driving. In Vancouver, you have to SLAM on your brakes to avoid an accident OR you have to accelerate quickly or else you'll block traffic :lol

in that case it's no surprise that brands like jeep, hummer and land rover are at the bottom... but then again that argument dosen't work for smart and mini which are fighting for dead last and their products are supposed to be fuel efficient

Have you driven one of those new smarts? the mileage is around 6-7 L/100km in the city, around the same as a yaris or fit, sure it's not way over the manufacturer's claims, but for something of this size it's pretty excessive

But anyway, this test is based on more than just fuel economy! theres so many other things that could land cars way down the list...

It really depends on how you define "quality". Like I said, many of these things will not be considered a quality issue for most of us, so that score doesnt really mean much.

Qmx323 06-25-2009 12:24 PM

Honda power.
