Manuals are nifty, but overrated. Especially now that cars with technologies such as SMG that can shift faster than any human can. But I admit that flipping paddles once in a while can be fun. :)

^ flippin paddles is not the same as changing gears with a clutch and shift lever.

I try and avoid phone while driving, but sometimes you just have to pick it up.

I could go either way on this one. To be honest I was in an accident cause of cell phone so I can see why they are doing this. I guess you could always pull over.

I can see though left laners crashing into right laners to pull over and answer a quick call however lol.

About time if you ask me.

ilvtofu 06-26-2009 06:06 PM

I think the law is stupid and i hope to god it does not pass!
im a young driver and i text (only at red lights) while im driving, I have been driving for 4 years and have NEVER been in an Accident.
The young people part is even worse, just cause your a young drive does not mean a thing, i know alot of young drivers that are way better drivers then people that have been driving for years!.
cops drive, and talk on the phone, listen to their radios, and do their laptop things all at once.
I know they do it for responding to calls and stuff, but they are people to and its just as likely for them to cause a accident to, but to give people a ticket for somthing they do to is just hypicritcal.

what? I got my bluetooth headset anticipating the ban of using the cellphone physically but they are banning the handsfree too!?!?

That's cruelty. How about taxi drivers who need to be informed of taxi calls?

it may cause road rage because some people have an important call but can't answer it...
