+1, and fucking get him to pay the ticket. If you are home now, get him to give you the money and you pay for it. If not, then GG bros.

get ur frd to pay up. Man, it's only 30 bucks, just tell him to stay home for dinner for 1 week & I'm sure he'll save more than $30

All this worrying and trying to find ways NOT to pay it, isnt worth the $30 dude, just man up and pay it yourself, or get your friend to pay it
If not, take it as a lesson. Dont let your friends drive your car. Dont be friends with ppl that wont pay for stupid shit that they did.

You're wasting time, to be honest

who said its 30 its 100.. its really stupid that they only give you 7 days to dispute

try to avoid parking tickets by knowing where to park for free
there's lots of 2 hour zones in downtown or places with no signs at all

What does "anyways, he made a bs excuse and he cant pay the ticket" mean to you? A good person won't fuck his friend over.

Here's an example of a good friend: I got a speeding ticket while my good friend was in the car; he told me not to dispute it and offered to pay half of it because I was short on money. Now that's a good friend.

To the OP: Remember, if you dispute this ticket and you don't show up to court, the City of Port Moody would issue a BC-wide warrant for your arrest. If you were arrested in Vancouver, you would be sitting in the jail for a few hours in order to get a Promise to Appear.

If your friend isn't gonna pay the ticket, is it possible to prove to impark that you were on vacation and that they made a mistake? Plane ticket stub, was your passport scanned at the border, etc?

Tell him you got a gift certificate to the Keg or some other decent restaurant and get him to go there with you. Order $100 worth of food and drinks, and just as it arrives excuse yourself to go to the bathroom, then leave.

Seriously, though, your friendship isn't worth anything to him. /friendship

I would never lend my car to someone I don't trust.

If your friend isn't going to man up and take responsibility, pay for the ticket yourself. It's your fault for trusting someone who isn't responsible.
