Rikaro 07-11-2009 11:34 PM

don't think you can sign up anymore.

InvisibleSoul 07-12-2009 12:28 AM

Yeah, no more signups... offer's over.

underscore 07-12-2009 11:37 AM

uhh SkinnyPupp, you do know that they make far more money from advertising than from the actual sales right? Hence why there's only 1, very basic code. This is a very easy way to bump up the number of "subscribers" and generate more profit from ads. They wont lose thousands from having to send out more mags, they'll make thousands in ad sales.

so get your head out of your ass already

Oh I see. Having it set up as a free coupon upon purchase of a DVD was just a ruse. They were counting on a bunch of self-entitled cheap bastards to figure out that all codes were the same, so they could boost their subscription rates. Genius! How stupid of me to think otherwise!

BrendanS 07-12-2009 12:01 PM

skinnypupp why even post here anymore, every post I see from you is directed in trying to start an arguement with somebody else.

SkinnyPupp 07-12-2009 12:26 PM

I made one post to this thread. The rest were responses to people who are trying to argue with me, which I find hilarious and amusing.

hotjoint 07-13-2009 08:11 AM

man who cares about us getting this shit for free unless you work for maxim :)

pretty much actually. They probably only considered the people buying the DVD's and telling their friends, who tell their friends, etc. but the size of the internet made it go a bit further. In reality they're gonna make a tonne off of this.

eddoe 07-13-2009 11:52 AM

They do make a ton off of advertising revenue. They have this all over the U.S., where you can get free subscription to magazines just for registering for a free website. You can even buy a pack of subscriptions off e-Bay for like a couple of dollars.

I remember they had something like this for Canada a couple years ago. It was just a site and you put your address and you get a free subscription. I got 3 years worth of subscription to UMM, Maxim, Stuff and Blender without having to even sign anything, just put my address down. Sure they probably sold my address to companies but it was worth it haha.

And in turn, I find your righteous and condescending attitude hilarious and amusing.

Yeah, I know... sign up with a random US address, and then later on change your subscription address to your real Canadian address... meh... too iffy and too much work for me. :p

YK86 08-04-2009 01:00 AM

Just so you guys know, they seemed to have canceled my subscription along with a bunch of other friends.

eddoe 08-04-2009 01:26 AM

The UMM promotions was a couple years ago, they don't have it anymore.

Yah, my subscription was canceled as well. Going to send them an email about that.

SkinnyPupp 08-04-2009 01:32 AM

hotjoint 08-04-2009 09:02 AM
