i hate people who owe money and their first priority when they get their paycheque is to go and party. Some people have really fucked up priorities

I will collect it for you but im gonna need about 30 grand upfront.
When i start to recover it i cant have you calling me though, and we can have any sort of papertrail from you to me (unmarked bills please)
The best way to go about it is give me the money, then pretend you dont know me
At the end of it you will receive 60 grand back. Ill make sure i answer your calls at that point.

biggest issue right now is that he has no assets. All he does is dj and work as a bartender, pays for rent so no house, and has no car.

If it can't be enforced, at least set up a reasonable payment schedule - forcing and nagging at this point may just cause him to run away and completely default!

The cycle continued in an orderly fashion until one friend insisted he had paid the last time, whereas both the other friend and I remain dead certain to this day (11 years and counting), that he did NOT pay.
The incident is still referred to this very day.

I'm never loaning money to people. Ever. I don't care how long I know the guy. Money and friendship fucks things up.
I wouldn't mind though for small petty things like $10 or so....
