Did they never train you to take notes as soon as possible after the incident? Wow...

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

So if you got subpoenaed for that bank job you witnessed me commit last summer, you don't remember anything and didn't take notes on that either? SWEET!

OK...back to reality. You have been served a legal doccument requiring you to testify in court and to bring anythign related to the case. I would strongly suggest you immediately contact the person who sent you the subpoena and tell them what you told us. You would have given a statement to the Police at the time and that will be made available to you to refresh your memory. Note to self...in your line of business I cannot see how you never considered it essential to take notes on a crime you witnessed?

You will be surprised what you will remember when you get there. The police report you made out, that's something you can use to refresh your memory.

Agreed. When I get asked about older files that i've worked on, I find my memory of the event comes back pretty quickly after reading my notes and report.

Get a hold of your report, re-read it and see what you remember. The more you review your report and the more comfortable you are with recalling the events as they happened, the easier testifying will be.

I'm not a cop so i'll just copy and paste what he said :

You have been served a legal doccument requiring you to testify in court

And this should be anyone's basic knowledge of life -
The witness be jailed for contempt of court, if you don't show your ass up.

Can you say bench warrant for contempt of court?????. Handcuffs and immediate jail when they find you. You may blow the whole trial by not appearing. Judge and Crwon will NOT be happy with you. Obviously you did not do what I suggested earlier?

The court has the option of issuing a warrant for your arrest and compelling you to attend court. Much more nuisance than a few hours out of your day to attend in the first place.

you guys are sitting her chewing out this honest guy, when cops do it all the time. How many posts do we see where a cop just lost his notes?? Seems to me this kinda thing happens all the time to cops, so I would assume a lesser paid security guard will have this happen as well.

Sho_bc you can't even remember the current charge for a simple offence like a seatbelt ticket. I hope I never have to deal with your incompetence!!

It seems you have an extreme hard-on for police bashing...

We don't set the prices of the fines for tickets and I was not informed of the updated change in fines. So, in that regard, I couldn't have "remembered" about the current fine cost as I never knew it changed. We have small offence booklets that lay out the charge wording, section and fine amount provided by the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Branch of BC that we all use. If these are not updated, then the information written in them gets transfered over to the ticket. The new no smoking in a vehicle with youths under the age of 16 offence, for example, is not included in it. I have now update my offence booklet with the new fine amount.

You seem to have a problem with me pointing out that you are wrong and have to go back to school. You can't even keep ontop of your job. Oh so now you are pleading ignorance of the law?? Sorry that doesn't work. Just like everyone else in the world, you most importantly should keep up to date. If the person issuing the fines doesn't keep up to date, how can you properly do your job?? Don't blame some little cheater book didn't alert you. If you are infering that you rely on a little book on how to do your job, what would happen if this book was lost? Would you have to wait until a new one arrived? You should know this kinda stuff!!! Hit the books and keep ontop of your job. Maybe a little less RS and a little more burying your head in a book will do you some good. Just like you pointed out, although the "no smoking" is not in a book, you have to know about it. You should know this stuff, its the basics. Hit the books! So do all cops come onto RS to update their little books on new fines?? I would think not. The second an offence/fine changes you should be all over that like a fresh batch of Krispy Kreme and free coffee.

^ I'd love to see you try to remember the ENTIRE MVA's contents, and the fine's associated with all of it. An officer referring to a cheater book to make sure he's correct, rather than just making up stuff as he goes because he can't remember seems like a good idea to me.
