I love the XF so much... and this looks just as good if not better... but man their reliability is still the shits and like Jah said... resale value.. terrible..

I know someone's going to post up the JD Power Associates thing saying Jaguar was near the top or #1 in recent years... but that's B.S.... look at the Car&Driver or Motor Trend long term test on the XF... can't remember which magazine it was... in like 5,000 miles it had been in for warranty like 3 times and even the entire differential had exploded in that time!!! That's unbelievably crappy...

The old XJ had cheese... Doesn't it feel like the chinese would've made one?
Even though I liked it, it was a similar design for 20 years, maybe it was about time to change it to keep up with the times, like 7 series or S-class

This new one has jaguar's new character, but i'm not feeling it, front and 3/4 is nice, but the back really ruins it. XF has a nicer butt

that front light and grille combination looks Chinese too.... Like they came from parts bins of 2 separate products.

Ian Callum a British car designer

who designed the Aston Martin DB7, Aston Martin Vanquish etc

Callum directed design at both Jaguar and Aston Martin and it is claimed that he laid the foundations for the DB9 which was later finished by Henrik Fisker,[5] though the extent of his contribution remains unclear.

I think its safe to say that the Chinese firms got their own "sneak peak" at how some of the brands were going to design their cars in the future

just like cell phones
