hmmm...I THINK I'm pretty happy...

So my k850 crapped out a while ago and I'm back to using my w810...pretty happy with the phone, but I'm bored of it, have had it for years.

So I call Rogers today for a hardware upgrade...180-ish for a k850 or 300 for a c905.

Threatened to go to Telus...walked away with a c905 for 200 and 10 bucks a month credit on my account for 3 years (so the phone will more than pay for itself).

well...I wasn't happy after reading the reviews on that phone (about 95% of them were "don't buy this thing").

So I called Rogers...and talked them down to $25 on a k850 and still getting the 10 bucks a month credit on my account

Why the k850 and not the c905?

As I mentioned, the overwhelming majority of the user reviews for the C905 were HORRIBLE.

It seems like SE is very happy to flood the market with phones before thoroughly testing them and letting the consumer pay the price (the k850 was junk when it first came out, now seems to be doing better...my g/f's w760 has a lot of bugs, etc)...I'm just not buying an SE phone right when it comes out, because they seem to be garbage.

SE phones seem to be AMAZING on paper and perform well when they work, but have a lot of issues in the first year or so on the market. My first k850 lasted me less than a week, and had the same problem hundreds (thousands?) of other people reported.

Also, I'm getting the k850 for $175 less (or one eight the cost) than the c905...that's a lot of money I could spend on better things and still have a very nice phone.
