HOW TO BUILD a 3 monitor set-up

So I've been wanting to do this for a long time...what do you need to make a 3 monitor set-up?

please post some pics if you have done it and state what you use

get 2 of those video cards that have 2 DVI outputs each.

yes you can, i've had four including my tv once
2 onboard, 2 on pci-e

doesnt need dual outputs, u can use a splitter if ur card doesnt have it.

what do u mean 3 desktops. most vid cards support dual view which is 2 desktops, even with a splitter. with a second card he can have 4 desktops without having 4 outputs. i set up computers at work like this all the time.

I mean 3 separate screens each with independent display (i.e. no duplication of what happens on one screen). You made it seem like having 2 screens and splitting the signal, which will duplicate the screens...?
