What to do in Nanaimo on a Friday night?

Looks like work is taking me to Nanaimo this weekend. What's to do there on a Friday night? Where's the place to be (is there even a place to be in Nanaimo) ??

Without the Press Room, Porky's, and the Globe, Nanaimo is now dead to me....

Cambie across the street from The Queens as well for more of a divebar feel Live music as well.

And just up the street from there is the billiards, at the bottom of the hill.

I haven't been there in a while, but the Globe is apparently alive and well.

The same thing you'd do on any other night in Nanaimo; crack.

Oh right on. It was closed a few years ago when I went up, but as I've just learned, that was just for renos.

I remember being there one night, and this skuzzy runt of a stripper came out dressed as a fisherman. Rain slicker, big boots, sou' wester, the whole shitteree. After she was done undressing, she brought out this little RC truck, the kind that goes forwards in a straight line, or backwards with a turn. It had a dildo duct taped to its roof. She passed the remote along gyno-row, and if you got the dildo in her ham wallet, you got a poster. It was great.

That sounds like a classic Nanaimo show.

Bonus points for the use of ham wallet!
