yeah, hk is an international hub, there are plenty of east indian guys that will school most of us with their cantonese. heck, i knew a guy at futureshop that sold a tv to my parents after i gave up trying to explain to them all the features of the tv. he spoke perfect cantonese.
greddydelsol owns me 10 fold when it comes to mandarin.
heck i bet skinnypupp can school me now thats he's lived in hk for a few years!

This guy is Iranian. Moved to the States with family since age 1. Worked as a volunteer in Vancouver.

this guy is actually REALLY good, he's better than a lot of people I know, he has very good sentence structure and wording... there is a slight accent but it's extremely good nonetheless.

There are many people who command languages easily.
I know an American lawyer in HK who is of East Indian descent, and speaks (near perfect): Punjabi, Hindi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Italian, French, Spanish, and one other I can't remember.
On a side note; 12 years ago I was with my gf at the time at the long-gone Hong Lok Yuen restaurant on Alexandra Road. An EI family sat down next to us, and I casually told her in Cantonese "wow, even EI's know about this place now!"
Their little daughter then proceeded to loudly order a cold milk tea in perfect Cantonese.

you don't need perfect Mandarin or Cantonese to be a Hong Kong superstar! Sorry it's not funny unless you speak fluent Cantonese (including all sorts of swear words)

there is a sales in the Boundary road Mazda dealership that can speak Canto, Manda, Shanghai, Punjabi, English I think.

He just talks about his own life story. And how he managed to not get ripped off by speaking Chinese to Chinese woman who was selling furnitures at a raised price to foreigners ROFL. But thing is his Cantonese is not that good it's spoken much like any Chinese dude trying to speak in Cantonese.
It's pronounced right but it's not the right words to use.
