hopefully it will work a lot better than their 2 piece designed spark plugs

why don't they design a new engine, its long over due that they design something effiecent and powerful too.

no matter what happens, combustion engines can only have a maximum of ~21% (correct me if i'm wrong) efficiency.

You're close.. steel engine blocks are thermodynamically limited to around 37% efficiency. But.. on average, once you throw all the emissions crap on there (EGR, air pump, etc) it is down around 20%... so that's where your ~21% comes in.

Look up a six-stroke engine... then you get into the 40% efficiency range. No cooling system required either!

if he was talking about the AAA laser pointer, then no...it's just regular disco/clubbing green laser

My buddy's got a 500mW fine beam laser.

It's powerful enough to light up buildings across burrard inlet, or to cause instant blindness.

it would be smart of them to play on this tech development and hire mike meyers to do his dr evil character as a spokes person for their marketing compaign.

Interesting idea. I wonder how much of a real world difference it will make? I also wonder how they'll get around carbon buildup fouling the lense? Maybe the lenser will be self cleaning in a sense if the beam can burn through the carbon.

You mean like the Ecoboost? http://www.ford.ca/app/fo/en/environ...es/ecoboost.do

Or a new engine technology altogether?

Wowsers. Just when you thought the M3 sparkplug appeared to be at its limit using its own processor, this comes along.
Looks a like decent Sunday night read.
