Free Lease Takeover: '07 Lotus Elise

Hey guys, I have a 2007 Storm Titanium Lotus Elise that I am letting go now that I have a baby. We have located a car that suits our needs a lot better which has motivated me to let the Lotus go for nothing down! The 36-month lease started on July 27 '07 and put a $20,000 down payment. Lease payments are $830.54 per month after tax and with a residual of $34,500 due at the end of the lease. Has remainder of factory 3 year warranty until the end of lease. Amazingly, this is little beauty is great on gas for what it does, I usually get about 300km's per tank (35L) from full to near empty. A definite head turner and the ladies love it! No accidents or stories. These are the specs and what I paid:

2007 Lotus Elise
Color: Storm Titanium

Engine: 2ZZ-GE dohc 16V, inline-4
Layout: Mid Engine / Rear Drive
Transmission: 6-speed manual
Power: 190hp (141kW) @ 7800rpm
Torque: 138lb ft (181Nm) @ 6800rpm

Brake System:
f&r 11.1-in. drilled & vented discs, with ABS

Suspension:
Front-upper & lower A-arms, tube shocks, coil springs, anti-roll bar
Rear-upper & lower A-arms, tube shocks, coil springs

Option Packages:

* Base Elise6 ($59900.00)
* Transportation Costs (DL) ($1415.00)
* PDI Costs($395.00)
* Storm Titanium ($725.00)
* Touring Pack (TP) ($1660.00)
* Premium Pack (PP) ($855.00)
* Black Pack ($350.00)

Optional Equipment:

* Leather, Black
* Hard Top (HT) ($1815.00)
* Starshield (SS) ($1225.00)
* Traction Control (TC) ($610.00)
* Elise Special Interior ($1590.00)

Aftermarket Upgrades:

* JVC KD-NX5000 ($999.00)
* Aluminum Stalks ($90.00)
* Black/Silver Badges ($150.00)
* Carbon Fiber CAI ($400.00)
* Carbon Fiber Front Splitter ($500.00)
* Xenon Driving Lights ($500.00)

Total Amount: $73,179.00 + taxes.

I am now asking nothing back in return for the lease transfer. Interested party pays any fees associated with the transfer. No test pilots! No Trades. Serious buyers, pm me with any questions. Please keep me thread clean. If you have nothing good to say or are not a serious buyer, keep your personal feelings out of the thread. Thanks for looking!

Here are some pics of my actual car before i changed the badges and installed the carbon lip.

Deposit may be coming in a few days but no deal is done until the lease is actually transferred as it is O.A.C. Will keep this post updated...

What colour is the interior?

So you're giving away the down payment?

The interior is black leather with diamond stitch. I am not sure what you mean by "giving away" as you will not be recovering any of that amount but I am not asking for any amount back from the original $20k I placed as a down payment which is why the payments are so low. Without the down payment, the cost would be closer to $1400 a month compared to only $830.54. There are several ppl who have contacted me from here, craiglist, and kijiji and someone is placing a deposit to hold the Elise as he is from the interior but again, until the lease is transferred, no deal is done.

Update: The $20,000 down payment was tax deferred and the $3,000 tax would need to be paid when the lease ends. The lease transfer fee is $695 and would be the covered by the person assuming the lease.
