^ Suddenly that I don't give a fuck automatic fuel efficient little car starts to make sense.

People ask me why I want a Nissan Cube With CVT I guess the real reason is I live next to no.3 road.

You soon enough become indifferent about driving if you are on that road 52 weeks a year.

Would never take that road under any circumstances. Plenty of other options in Richmond really. No.3 becomes doable past like, 9PM.

That skytrain system better be worth the years of congestion. I hope in the future those trains will be packed

What if they close a lane for bikes? And then add like little fish ponds under the skytrain bridge with trees and little squirrels that can play in the grass, what a great view while tourists are stuck in No. 3.

I almost got crashed into on No. 3 road by some dumbass c-lai in a Mercedes ML who can't fucking follow the lines on the road. The lines swerve, so I swerve. Guess what? The c-lai goes straight, right into my lane! They need to repaint the roads STRAIGHT for those Richmond drivers!

oh yeah...

watch out for the curve when drive past super store.

the left lane gets smaller and drivers tend to cross the line.

I noticed 90% of the drivers always cross it so I never drive side by side with other cars on that section.

Its best to let them go first or you can speed up.

Hey guys, me and my friends have been wondering : we just noticed the no.3 road skytrain only has one train tracks ... does that mean there will only be one train running at a time ? how many people can fit on those train at a time, and how long do i have to wait before the next train comes? What im building on is ... IS IT GOING TO BE WORTH THE FUCKING TIME THAT I HAVE WASTED WAITING ON NO.3 ROAD?

^ From what I can see, it's 2 tracks running parallel, on 1 concrete tube-thing.

I'm pretty sure 80% of No.3 is going to get repaved in the near future. How do I "know" this? The asphalt is maybe 30mm below the bottom of those curb pieces. The road surface is "grooved" as well. This is standard procedure in road construction. Just chillax and wait a couple more months.

We all know that they seemed to mess up the order of the different phases all throughout the contruction. I mean, whose bright idea was it to dig up ALL of Cambie at the same time? They are probably just spending all their resources on getting the line active, and will clean up the roads right after.

The one thing I do NOT get at all though, is why they didn't build the bike lane closer to the pillars. Combined with fewer trees in the middle, they probably could've squeezed in another car lane all the way down to Westminster.

OP, if the benches do end up getting soaked every time the sprinklers turn on, I'm sure a short email to the City of Richmond would get it fixed pretty quickly. You wouldn't be the only one complaining either.

i can easily think of several big reason why they would rip up cambie first then lay everything in. the cost of renting the equipment. its cheaper to rent heavy duty digging equipment for 6 months than 3 years. in addition, theres many aspects to consider, such as the logistic nature of delivering the materials to the jobsite (deliver all at once or one at a time), segregating the line into smaller projects is better than concentrating all your resources at one point, etc etc.

of course the disadvantage of having a better bottom line is people using the street and neighboring businesses will be affected negatively.

the real question you should be asking is why did they promise to bore the line into cambie rather than dig and drop.

Actually I am now unsure that there are actually 2 tracks on that stupid bridge thing..... If you stand at Richmond Centre outside Drug Mart and look up you can see one station...

...but you don't see another station on the opposite side. WHAT!?

A couple points, The Skytrain gets split off by the casino 1 way both for the airport and one way up 3 rd. Atleast i think its one way to the airport might be wrong about that end. Also anyone else notice that railway from when granville turns into railway up all the way to francis got repaved twice in about a month maybe two?
