What program should I use?

I want to create a database in which I can pull up inventory and prices by narrowing down parts by make and model.

Example: A customer has a 2001 Honda CBR 600 F4i. He wants a battery for it. Instead of me looking up the part number and price in a catalogue, I can pull it up on a computer and it will show me the price and if it is in stock. I would also want to see other parts available for this bike.

Which program would best suit my needs? Are there any programs which are easy to input data in?

TIA.

What you want is called inventory management software.

you can create your own database using MS Access (or find a template), or you can purchase one like Quickbooks.

But the problem with these is, unless you are willing to build in the controls, the data will only be as good as the entry..."Garbage in...garbage out".

For example, one entry could be for:
Make: Honda
Model: CBR 600

Then another one is
Make: Honda
Model CBR-600

So when you search, you now have to search for both 'CBR 600' and 'CBR-600'.
