LOL.. i find it funny how you used the word "drowned" to describe the way a marine animal died.

Alatar 07-25-2009 11:14 PM

More than 6 billion people on this planet. How many of those whales do you figure there are.

they are mammals...they get their oxygen from the air so they can get drowned

124Y 07-25-2009 11:34 PM

wow...that IS a disturbing sight. How do they dispose a corpse that big?

ya.. i know.. whales need to surface the water to get some air. Hence you see those whales blowing water out of their holes on top of their head.

I know they need air. All i said was that i just find it funny.

kinda like I know apples come in green and red, but i can say i find it funny to see green apples.

Better cut it up and serve it as sushi while it's still fresh.

Whale meat sashimi is actually quite delicious. I have it whenever I go to Japan. I don't like dolphin meat though...very gamey.

How are you gonna explain to ICBC that your car got hit by fly pieces of Whale blubber and it crushed in the car's roof.

coast guard came and pulled it off with commercial tugs. i heard something about a necropsy being done by the fisheries dept. to learn more about it because fin whales are rare and are not commonly seen. afterwards it's going to be towed somewhere near vancouver island and sunk so that it will decompose naturally.

ugh. still... driving a car and hitting a bird or raccoon and having it stuck in the front of your ride is one thing, but this :(

MDMA 07-26-2009 02:24 PM

messed up priorities eh? apparently humans are mammals just like whales.
when did I say that humans did not take precedence over whales? I'm not saying that the fucking cruise ship should have done something to risk humans or anything like that.
Just because humans are more important doesn't make the death of another living being laughable or insignificant. after all what kind of world would we be living in without such amazing creatures around us? dumbfuck

ilvtofu 07-26-2009 10:19 PM

whale had it coming, you can spot a cruise ship from a mile away...

Lol this isn't what i had in mind when i read the thread title BTW,
I thought it was like one of those alaska-vancouver cruises where all u do is look out the windows and spot some whales, sea lions, etc. and the cruise owns a whale and keeps it and lets it out when ppl are bored... I have a huge imagination...

Physical humour is still humour. People laughed at the Three Stooges and Marx Brothers; we'll laugh at a whale getting hit by a boat too.
