IMO i think right now Rotorex SC's and Twin Scroll turbos are the things to get. rather have a turbo, but if i'm installing, i'd rather do a SC |
thats what i thought at first, but after seening a lot of people went SC, than not too long later they all jump the boat. TURBOOOO. Seems like if a person is power thirsty turbo would be a wiser choice down the road. |
The recent bi-turbo technology seems pretty good, with less to none lag... |

or r we strictly talking about tc/sc a 4 banger? also, twin charging has been done by alot of hardcore modders. most of them choose to bolt on a small AMG supercharger for the low end power and help spooling the big big turbo they have. it's been done, but it takes ALOT of custom fab work to get everything working right. |
ZR1? CTS-V? XF/J/KR? Granted they use the same brand of superchargers. Quote:

Well, if you are starting with a car that's already got a turbo, it's fairly easy to swap turbos and tune for more power... but if you are starting with a car with NO forced induction, fabbing the plumbing for the turbo can be challenging, especially if there is no space - you might be forced to settle for a belt driven charger. I'd honestly be happy with EITHER setup as long as it's making big power up high with minimal lag. (twin-turbo FTW!) |
Supercharger all the way. |
