You're going to need a title for the car, to begin with. If you don't have one, there's no point.

Read the sticky at the top of the page for the import information..

you need title and bill of sale

faxed to us customs 72hrs prior to export, or entry to canada. then you need to fill out the papers at the border to bring it in.

once its in, you have 45 days to pass inspection. if its a working car, you need the forms from riv.ca. you need the recall letter from the dealership, and u need it inspected from canadain tire for the federal and provincial inspection.

if its a salvage car, then u need the body inspection done at a certified bodyshop.

All cars come from the US must be able to pass inspection to be imported as a car.. so it has to be fixed before import.

else it can only be imported as parts.. so basically you can't register it with the orginal vin.
