New car. Input?

Hey all, have not posted in a long time, so thought is stop by. just picked up a new car. well, new to me. picked up a 2002 Mazda Protege 5. Any input on what mods to do, what to not do? what to stay away from? im not planing on modding it heavly or anything (no turbo) but thinking just cold air intake, exh, MAYBE lower springs and toying with the idea of a small shot of NoS, (likr a 50-75 shot?) i dono, i dont wanna change the block or head, so maybe not Nos. Just bouncing ideas off people right now, so liek me know what you all think. Also little things like tint on the back (not limo thinking 25%) and HID's. It is silver in colur with Black cloth interor. ill try and get some pics up soon.

My buddy/ co-worker has a nice set of American Racing Rims with low pro's on them on usedvictoria. they are 5 bolt..... I put a cold air intake in my 300 ZX and there was a nice differance. sounds pretty good.

Mazda Protege5 fitment guide

215/40/17; 215/35/18
-------------
7.0" +45 and higher
7.5" +48 and higher

205/40/17
-------------
7.0" +42 and higher; Barely making it
7.5" +48 or higher, the +45 still worries me with this width on a 205.
