Lightroom Jpeg Colour Problem

anyone use lightroom 2?

i've recently reinstalled everything on my computer

The issue is that when i import jpeg photos into lightroom, the colours are totally off versus what i see on my camera lcd or windows preview or irfan view.

does anyone else have this issue? it used to be ok on my old install

lightroom works fine with raw files since i can apply my colour profiles

everythings sRGB
even the raw files are too bright in the lightroom preview
when i output to jpeg and view the jpeg on windows preview or irfan viewer, the blacks are darker.

hmm opened CS3 and it says my monitor colour profile appears to be defective (my profile from dell). is there a default colour profile that i should be using?

Try "North America General Purpose 2". What is your gamma set to - 1.8 or 2.2?
