anyone doing this? really similar to p90x, but no weights involved.

Looks like a LOT of cardio!

hamsup 08-10-2009 10:49 AM

woah.. intense... i wait for the bt !

Gh0stRider 08-10-2009 02:40 PM

i think ch28 was doing it.

i might try it out later on.

Ch28 08-10-2009 03:04 PM

cardio power & resistance kicked my ass good

workout is pretty tough but it feels great when you finish! make sure you either do it on hardwood floor or cover your carpet cause you'll be drenched in sweat by the time you're done

guddagudd 08-16-2010 10:40 AM

Bump, does it give you the results it promises you, ripped body in 60 days?

hotong 08-16-2010 10:52 AM

I think p90x will show much better results since there are weights, pull ups and push ups involved as well as cardio. This just seems like it will make you skinny, not ripped.

guddagudd 08-16-2010 11:12 AM

Yea, that's what I thought too, but since I don't have much equipments at my house, Insanity seems like the best bet. I am already really skinny though, so I don't know how much this will help me...

RayBot 08-16-2010 09:22 PM

I guess regardless if you choose p90 or Insanity, results varfy if you follow their meal plan by the book. I guess its meaningless to say that you will have no results if your current diet plan includes all-you-can eat sushi every week....but doing these excercises on daily basis.

hotong 08-20-2010 05:46 PM

Honestly you should just get a gym pass.. Just eat lots and workout you will see results faster than p90 or any beach body program out there

I tried it once with a buddy...

First 15 mins i was hurting and tiring quick and then i found out it was the freaking warm up!

Never did it again since hahaha

iEatClams 08-22-2010 09:36 PM

It might be just me, but I did this for a week, but noticed my knee joints were burning a little after every Insanity workout, so I stopped doing it and just stick to playing sports and hitting the gym.

Definitely recommend if you're trying to cut/ get defined, lose weight or get better cardio.

waddy41 08-23-2010 08:28 PM

or if you're already in decent shape, skip straight to the second part of the program...

i should have done that b/c the first part didn't do anything for me in terms of losing weight/gaining muscle..

_TiDy_ 08-28-2010 03:45 PM

wont help you gain muscle i'm pretty sure but damn is it a good cardio workout, makes you sweat everything outta your body

The7even 09-04-2010 01:17 PM

90% of the people in that video had a hideous body. These things take time and effort.. and this thing seems like a get-fit-quick scheme.

hyek 09-04-2010 07:21 PM

i would like to try this workout, any input from any previous people that did this?

LC21 09-12-2010 12:54 AM

^
haha going onto day 6 for me, pretty solid so far and i wouldn't even bother wearing a top because you'll be drenched in sweat. But if you have a bad knee or ankle, i wouldn't recommend doing it.

Sentinel 09-15-2010 08:07 PM

I just finished day 30. 30 More to go.

At first I struggled with the warmups, but as time went by I got use to it. The work outs for the last few weeks look pretty tough.

LC21 09-16-2010 09:36 AM

Do you guys lift weights after doing insanity? I feel fucking exhausted doing it.

blue_noise 09-16-2010 11:09 AM

just finished the recovery week for insanity. i am planning to do a p90x and insanity hybrid after i finished the program. 3 days of p90x and 3 days of insanity.

gdoh 09-16-2010 11:18 AM

imo think it would be better to join a good martial arts school were do tons of cardio and learn to fight at the same time

I agree with you here. But I just did laser eye surgery not too long ago and am not cleared to go back to muay thai yet. Therefore I decided to do the Insanity program and am about 4 weeks in.

For me, I don't care so much about losing/gaining weight or becoming ripped, I just want to maintain my power, endurance and explosiveness. The plyometrics in Insanity seemed the closest to the plyo's I was already doing in class :)
