French Canada I have nothing against the people, the language, or the culture. I just hate it being forced on us. Especially when we live about as far away from Quebec as possible. Just now, I got a letter from Honda in French. I read a bit of French, so I figured out what is was about. It was a survey from Honda Canada. I filled out the survey and wrote the following in the comments section at the very end. Anything further you would like to comment on to better serve you, please do so here (something to that effect). Absolutely nothing. The service was great.......... perhaps some dancing girls? Just kidding...... On a side note....... I received my survey notice in French. Please don't do that again. I have my e-mail set so anything French is considered junk mail. I read a little bit of French, but not fond of it. I live in BC. Nuff said. Also, I don't want to be called, "Cher", LOL. End of comment. As I mentioned earlier, I have no problem with French or the people. Just don't ram it down our throats. I know we are a bilingual state and French is one of the official languages. I'd rather speak Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, etc. Am I a racist? Probably............. It doesn't help when those Frenchies want to leave our country. Separatist bastards! Merde |
The french are fucken idiots, They want to leave are country leave already can't fucken stand the BS and them thinking that they are better then everyone else that speaks english. |

AAAHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I just called Ikea of all places to check on inventory for something I wanted. I was put on hold. Guess what? The recording is in FRENCH! WTF? I can understand ads in Swedish, but..........Is there like a French month here in BC I didn't hear about? For the longest time, Apple computers used to have a Canadian keyboard choice in their system menu. It was in French, because the Americans think Canada is French (igloos and dogleds). As of recently, Apple started offering keyboard settings in Canadian English as well as Canadian French. |
Bonjour ? suckerrrrrrrrrrrr~! |
all the dual language requirements in items like labels, packaging and manuals are enforced by the canadian government and i'm guessing the companies are passing the cost to us consumers here in canadia.... so retarded |
BONJOUR!!! FERMEZ LA BOUCHE! |
I had to go to Quebec City a couple years ago for work and not one person would speak a word of English even though most of them understood and spoke it. It was pretty fucked up to think this place was a part of Canada. I had a similar experience when I went to France. |
same with me lol i went to quebec and everyone spoke freaken english. |
lol ce qui? |

go to montreal and they're more english friendly. actually i had the opposite experience..i was attempting to speak some priliminary french which very shitty and the person replied in english and gave me an awkward look. fuck you..at least i'm respectful enough to try and speak your language. |
fuck french people .. rudest ppl on the planet |
Cheese eating surrender monkeys |
if only we could put them in a giant boat and drop them off in France and see if they want them as immigrants, the french wont be very happy but the french speaking canadians might be :D |

Bastards should just separate and leave us the fuck alone. Sure the maritimes will be cut off, but then we can divert the funding given to Quebec to them. |
there are good and bad people everywhere, you cant judge a whole province by a few people in a province with over a million people. i have been to both montreal, quebec city and val d'or and if anything the people there are really nice. if anything, you can say that they have their own unique culture and atmosphere. maybe thats whats rude to you guys idk? i think its great that canada is one of the few countries that embraces bilingualism. |
The people are nice, but it's the attitude they give off that the rest of the country hates. I can understand that they have a culture to maintain, but to be total douchebags about it is what doesn't make it worth it. |
Yeah, I hate the French....especially French Acadians from New Brunswick. They should all be shot. |
i guess they're still pissed off that France abandoned them |

Anyways, I've always had this thought where we should just separate, then declare war on them. Then when we take them, we can force english on them the way they force french on us. They'll just surrender anyways. =S |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboar...ngual_Standard The thread has taken a bit of a detour. I was bitching about the way French was forced on us even though we are so far away geographically. My intention wasn't to start French bashing. Having said that, it's always cool to see it. They are not special and should not be given more consideration by the federal government. Every freakin region in our country is distinct. |
does it consider as racist when canadian hate on french canadian ? |
Go to mexico and look at their keyboards for their computers, the letters are all fucked up  now thats something to complain about |
The French fight so hard for their culture, cause otherwise it would be gone. Montreal was almost entirely english before the language laws reversed the rend. English Canada will face the same fear, especially in cities like Toronto/Vancouver where > 50% of the population are immigrants, and unfortunately more and more immigrants aren't willing to conform to our society/values, they want to keep their language and culture, yet live on our soil. I am very glad that bilingual schools teach Mandarin/Cantonese and English did not pass in Vancouver, cause they would only further erode our Canadian values while letting other cultures basically row up here having never learned English (or French). |
