There is currently a promotion of 10% cashback on ebay, so I'm looking at some filter accessories (Polarizers mainly)
Here are the 2 that I am currently looking at
Hoya 77mm HD Digital CPL. ($107)
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-HOYA-77mm-HD...d=p3286.c0.m14
Key features:
25% higher light transmission than standard polarizing film used in current photographic filters
Filter promotes the acquisition of more light for your image
Increases sharpness
This filter eliminates ultraviolet rays to remove haze from outdoor shots as well as polarizing the light to remove reflections, and increase color saturation, without affecting the overall color balance
OR
B+W 77mm kaesemann MRC SLIM Circular Polarizer Filter ($160)
http://cgi.ebay.com/B-W-77mm-kaesema...d=p3286.c0.m14
I think both are very good filters and Hoya seems to have pretty good review. I am not too sure if the B+W is that much better (33% better) with the cost...
Anyone recommend anything? I have been mainly using my friends Tiffen CPL when I need some and thought they work alright, but they seem to block more light than needed and I have to compensate with an extra stop in aperture or slower in shutter speed. The Hoya one claims they let in 25% additional lights than most of CPLs out there and do not mess up your camera metering system. (Dont know if this is true or not, but sounds intriguing at $90 after discounts)
