Bad dog owners in Taiwan.
 

Some ppl in TW watch Marlee and ME and they go buy one and found it eats too much and decide to just dump the dog. This canadian white guy that was traveling around TW was find enough to feed it.

This happens a lot in Hong Kong too. There is never a problem finding a beautiful purebred dog at the SPCA at any given time.

its also scary about most of these street dog are with disease and if you got bit by some of them.. you in trouble.. : )

What a preacher, this guy! Nice of him to feed the poor dog but how in the hell does he know the owners watched Marley & Me and dumped him after he got big? Ignorant fucking bitch. The dog could have just as well ran away from home or got lost. Instead the most obvious conclusion is the owners watched Marley & Me and eventually threw him away, because according to this saint, people in "immature" countries such as TW all go out and buy big dogs after watching big dog movies. Ignorance.

but stray dogs are everywhere in taiwan..kids buy puppies cause they're cute..and ditch them on the streets when they grow up. very sad.

u know wut, this happens all over Asia. he just said Taiwan because he's IN Taiwan right now. try going to china...there are thousands of dogs on the street in China. I bought a dog in Shanghai for 64 RMB. when i asked for a box or some form of kennel to put the puppy in, they just threw the dog in a normal plastic bag and gave him over to me. i'm not attacking China or Taiwan. i'm just saying this happens all over Asia and there are organizations trying to save as many strays as they can.

I think people here are missing the point that this a pure bred labrador, not one of the thousands of mongrels you see roaming around Taiwan/HK/China. The guy is right in that some idiots probably bought the dog as a "toy" or a "status symbol" and decided that owning a dog isn't quite as "fun" as they thought it would be. And instead of dealing with the shame of having to give him up for adoption to the SPCA, they just let him go starve to death or get hit by a car (or worse, create even more mongrels).

You're also missing a lot if you think dietary cholesterol is a worry for a dog, or even a human. Too much salt is probably not good for dogs, but in this case what else can you do...

he could of go and get proper dog food. feeding a starving dog 4 burgers in a row is such a bad idea.
