Now if someone fucked up on the pricing, can the store sells as it is??? or they can change it back right away at the cashier saying it was the wrong price tag or something.

SumAznGuy 08-12-2009 08:24 AM

We tried to order 10 of them this morning, when we finally got a shipping address all figured out, it was too late and the site was updated with the corrected price.

Amuse 08-12-2009 08:27 AM

Nope, I believe these errors has been done here before and they just cancelled all the Online orders and sent an email to all about it.. Imagine ordering 10 of those as aznguy tried for less than 100 bucks LOL

=(

ShyGuy 08-12-2009 10:30 AM

they don't have to honor the price...its happened before here with futureshop...they just send out an apology email and cancel the orders.

winson604 08-12-2009 11:06 AM

No they don't need to honor it. Just recently on bestbuy.ca they had the new 300 blueray preorder for $9.99 and I ordered it along with thousands of others. Finally they realized they fucked up and cancelled everyones order followed with this email.

On your recent visit to BestBuy.ca you placed an order for 300 (2007) (Blu-ray). Due to an error on our website you ordered the product at an incorrect price.

As explained in our Web Site Use Agreement, BestBuy.ca strives to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, as maintenance of our website is a human process, errors do occur. In the event that an error does occur, we reserve the right to correct or cancel an order at any time. StylinRed 08-12-2009 11:57 AM

they don't have to in most of Canada, but they have to honour it in Quebec

and i suspect the rules/laws of every state differ on this issue in the USA so some people might actually have gotten it for $9.99

Yes, because every typo should cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

By MAE ANDERSON, AP Retail Writer Mae Anderson, Ap Retail Writer – 2 hrs 19 mins ago
NEW YORK – Few if any of the deals retailers have offered online during the recession have been as good as Best Buy Inc.'s sale price of $9.99 on a 52-inch TV Wednesday. But it quickly turned out the offer was too good to be true.

The electronics retailer said it will not honor the $9.99 price posted Wednesday morning on its Web site for a 52-inch Samsung flat-screen TV. By early afternoon, the TV was listed at $1,799.99, almost half off the original $3,399.99 price.

Bloggers and Twitterers lit up the Internet with posts about the offer, some insisting Best Buy must honor it, others making jokes.

Best Buy, based in Richfield, Minn., said it has corrected an online pricing error and will not honor the incorrect price. Orders made Wednesday morning at the incorrect price will be canceled and customers will receive refunds, the company said.

Best Buy did not immediately return a call for additional comment
