N95 Housing help lol yes another n95 help(- final one tho -)

not sure if you guys read but i broke the clips to the lid that holds the battery

so i got a new housing unit (decided to get a black one) and replace all the housing units including the numbers

i had issues with taking the plate that holds the lcd, but i figured that out

but my final issue i cant seem to deal with

the housing piece at the bottom of the phone, where the mini-usb plug and the charge plug is located

i took it off, and theres a circuit strip that looks like its connected to the accelerometer i managed to peel it off and move it to the new housing

my issue is that between the mini-usb and the battery charger there is some sort of connection (black piece with 2 copper connectors) that is enveloped by the housing (no way of getting it out its fit tightly and might be glued in)

i dont know what this piece is for and how to get it out, do any of you guys have any clues on:
a) what it is?
b) how to get it out of the housing piece
c) will the phone work without it ?

i think i might have busted the phone anyhow (from removing the circuit strip that was glued to the metal lcd plate) but id still like to figure out this last issue before putting it all back together and testing it.

posted in howard forums/nokiausers etc

hey thnx,

that piece i was talking about was stuck in there hard

but anyway i just took a plier and broke the plastic holding it and took the piece out and put it in the new housing

checked everything works, charging/usb/gps/lcd/speakers

its just that i cant get the front fasica down flush and i broke the keypad so im using the original one so it doesnt look too right

but whatever

the piece sits exactly behind here, infact that hole leads right into the plastic casing holding the piece

thats for mic i think, if u broke a piece, u can find it on ebay, i broke my chraging connector inside the phone, was able to find the piece for $2 on ebay. plus i think thats nokia n05-1 so shouldn't be a problem finding parts.

if u google u should be able to find it online somewhere.
