More Break-ins and thefts...

A buddy of mine had his coilovers stolen from his 90-91 4dr civic a couple of nights ago.

they are a set of tein super street coilovers green body with control arms

as well there was an attempt on another swapped civic but unsuccessful, but in turn got into my CR-V and stole my GPS unit.

keep an eye out for the items please, forums, usedvic, craigslist etc.

Also remove suspension and wheels, leave the shell chillin' on blocks while you're at it.

...

These aren't crack heads here, you can't take everything of worth when you go to work. Keeping a clean interior and an open glove-box, ash-tray, etc might work for junkies (depending on state of high), but the jerks after your coils aren't looking for pennies.

It's getting worse for modded car owners for sure. Don't advertise your shit, don't post mods, etc, and you might be ok.

Jas I'll keep an eye out up here on the Nanaimo classified sites. Plenty of cheap ebay modded Civics around here, people always looking for the killer deal, etc.

Are the chop shops still working around Shawnigan?

Do you have the model/serial for your GPS unit? Alert the police and pawn shops?
