This is how politics is played. When you have an opposition party that is so reviled by the business and upper-middle class, the government can do what it damn-well pleases. |
^ pretty much How sad of a party are you when you lose 3 times in a row and basically still stay as shitty as before? Imagine a bunch of triple losers running the govt. |
understand GST, understand PST... understand how they work interms of businesses... now understand how they affact major exporting companies in Canada.. HST doesn't look glamorous on our end but its good for the economy... I'm neither for or against it... |

and what exactly can the Anti HST facebook group do? |
They can complain on the group page and think that someone actually cares. |
Here's where I get angry: having to pay 12% tax on USED cars from private sales. It's already fucking bad enough the government collects tax on a USED product as it is at 7% let alone 12%... blood ridiculous... go buy some $10,000 used car and shell out $1,200 in tax... it's used!! How exactly does the government see fit that they collect tax on something 5-6 times in its life as it changes owners?!?! They don't even do it on 'used' houses. Ridiculous. Can't wait to see the influx of gift letters after this nonsense comes in. |

HST is pretty much set in stone... all these stop hst campaigns is a waste of bandwith. Get over it... |
partition is uselss.. dont waste your time on this... use your time to make more money |

The HST is a federal initiative to reduce the overhead of managing 2 taxes. The federal government is offering incentives to the provinces to switch to the HST, and BC is one of the last to make the switch. The HST should reduce the cost of doing business as the tax is passed directly onto the customer. Whether business will pass these savings along remains to be seen. So a new house, while paying more HST on it, should cost less to build cause the developers will pay less tax. |

i don't think we can stop it.. it jsut pisses me off that they won't have HST for the olympics.. i mean if you're going to fuck us over, why not do it at a time where we can make the most money? why July? and not in Feb? we'll make so much more off everyone here for the olympics... |

there are no conservatives in BC.. well not to have a majority anyways... carole james is a joke.. and so is the NDP. |
HST <---- @: |
Whoever voted for liberals does not have the right to complain about the HST. Just kidding. I always have voted NDP since Glen Clark was around. When Carol Taylor announced she would step down from leadership if she loses the last election, I voted liberals. Low and behold, she still stuck around. Carol is such a liar. Correction - Carol James |
