sounds like i got an exhaust

hi
i have a 93 Camry that sounds like i put an exhaust in it it feels very weak when i push on the gas, a friend of mine told me that i have a hole in my catback or something like that and he says that if i just get someone to wield the hole the car would stop making such loud noises
any suggestions about the problem, do you guys think its that or something else
thanx!

If your not mechanically inclined take it to a muffler shop like budget brake and muffler they will usualy do free inspections on the hope you will get the work done there. If its just a hole most muffler shops will accept a case of cold beer as payment for a quick weld.

honestly, if you have a hole, performance will not be decreased that much. your exhaust will be louder, but you will not notice a huge power loss. a clogged catalytic converter will choke your engine and you will notice a loss in power. also bad plugs/wires can also contribute to power loss.

either hole in exhaust or pipe. Hopefully not your cat. If it is, definitely buy used. Go to one of the muffler shops for a free quote like midas or shortstop. Call first to make sure they still do the free quote
